Procedure to be a partner is outlined in the following:

To be a supplier of ETC OBU

  1. To get relevant specifications about the onboard unit (OBU)
  2. Production of prototype (V-SAM can be purchased from registered suppliers.), and test of OBU
    (apply ITS-TEA for encrypted key data for testing)
  3. Interoperability test with the roadside unit (apply for ITS-TEA)
  4. Registration as a certified supplier and registration of OBU serial number. (apply for ITS-TEA)
  5. Commercialization of OBU

To be a supplier of ETC2.0 OBU

  1. Registration of a supplier (apply for ITS-TEA)
  2. Contract with ITS-TEA for a partnership
  3. Production of prototype
  4. Interoperability test, registration as a certified supplier and registration of OBU serial number.(apply for ITS-TEA)
  5. Commercialization of OBU

To be a setup shop

  1. Request for registration explanatory manual (apply for ITS-TEA)
  2. Obtain the manual from ITS-TEA
  3. Select one of qualified setup contractors listed in the manual and apply for registration via the contractor
  4. pass the qualification procedure by ITS-TEA, then complete other necessary procedures with the contractor
  5. Start business as a setup shop
